Some People
So today was supposed to be a randomly awesome day. We went to the cafe then Circle Park, the playground, to discuss matters of the faith and watch the parade. After the parade, Brennan, Brandon - who had just gotten into RCIA that day and was super excited - and I were walking to Brandon's car to head back to the cafe when we met up with a guy we know called Lane. Since Brandon is super-excited about becoming Catholic. Lane proceeded to tell us about what douchebags Catholics are and how the Catholic Church was going to fall in five years. Why are people so hateful?

I don't know, but if the Catholic Church could stand against the last two thousand years of the most violent and tumultuous events of human history, I think the next five years will be a relative cakewalk!
Also tell your friend Brandon that I'm praying for him and that I am so excited for him, and THANK HIM for even considering our Church; he is a tremendous gift for us.
I love being around Brandon. He's so excited about converting and it makes me excited. We made an agreement that he'd tutor me in biology and I'd tutor him in Church stuff. Thanks to him I got a 100 on my bio quiz.

@ChevalierSeingal@datingish - Thanks. I have a friend in military school right now. He always tries to get me mad because he's a big time atheist so I purposefully annoy him by just being nice. It's loads of fun.

lol Just read your post. If the catholic church has been going this long I think we can safely say it will last 5 more years. Opinions are like well you know.....
I don't think the Catholic church is in any imminent danger. As someone else has said, it's stood against the past 2000 years so far.
I hope you don't mind me coming by. I was just commenting back to you on revelife and thought I'd pay a visit.
I once considered the religious life--not that long ago either, but I wouldn't have been in a cloister. Oblate religious life is just as valuable imo.
